Justin hits the Ground Running
International moves are always a bit of a whirlwind at the end. Our move to Ecuador was no exception. We are thankful for the meaningful good-byes, lots of backyard parties, meals with friends, walks, coffees and family reunions. It was a rich last few weeks in the states and we felt lovingly supported and sent off. Thank you to everyone who took time to see us one last time and thank you Vine Church for such an amazing send off!
We landed in Ecuador with less than a week until the Compassion Connection had its first in-person pastoral training in Lasso, where we now live. It was a joy to help the team prepare the facilities, grocery shop, cook, clean and welcome the students to the property. The week long training was wonderful. We made many new friends and our Spanish vocabulary grew!
Currently, we are in Pinas, Ecuador (located near the coast and the Peruvian border) for a week where Compassion Connection is hosting another pastoral training. We continue to learn so much from the pastors, their wives and the Compassion Connection team.

With the international flight, long bus rides and physical labor at the property, Laurel is suffering from an inflamed sciatic nerve. Please pray for patience as she rests and for healing.
We have never been apart as a family and we miss each other very much. Please pray over our family as we adjust to this new reality.
